DeSantis is now antagonizing women. He seems to be picking a fight with just about everyone. As a result his base is narrowing:
He went after the LGBTQ+ community.
He went after Disney just because they dared to want to treat trans community as human beings.
He’s banning books, like a good fascist. It’s requirement if you want to win the GOP nomination:

DeSantis’ message goes over really well with white supremacists and NAZIs. In fact, their activity has grown dramatically in a state government controlled by DeSantis. Makes sense: hate loves hate.
This DeSantis ad is incredibly over the top. Going after Trump he wants to be as hateful and outlandish as possible. Very disturbing in it’s hyper-masculine theme.
But his non-stop hatefest is starting to backfire. And it could derail his GOP nomination plan.

He now wants to shoot migrants coming into the country, and throw out the constitution by ending birthright of those born in the U.S.:
