FOX News tried again to explain away one of Trump’s many deplorable statements. This time it was Charlottesville. The president at the time (August 12th 2017) drew a moral equivalence between Neo-NAZIs and counter protesters on that fateful day when a protester was killed by a white supremacist driving his car into a crowd. Trump tried, and failed, to exculpate the racist groups involved in the ‘United the Right’ rally. This is FOX’s latest contribution to cover for the ex-president:

The left-leaning fact checking website Snopes acknowledged Saturday that former President Trump never called neo-Nazis “very fine people” during his press conference following the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally in 2017.

Critics of Trump have claimed for years that he equated neo-Nazis with counterprotesters following the event. President Biden was chief among those critics, citing the supposed incident as a main reason for launching his 2020 campaign.

“While Trump did say that there were ‘very fine people on both sides,’ he also specifically noted that he was not talking about neo-Nazis and white supremacists and said they should be ‘condemned totally.’ Therefore, we have rated this claim ‘False,'” Snopes wrote.

Politicians who run for office are for sale. But no one has ever prostituted himself like Donald Trump. So, it should be no surprise that a banker would give that kind of money the grifter-in-chief:

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign received a single donation of $50 million (£39.5 million) from a conservative billionaire a day after he was convicted in his hush money trial.

Timothy Mellon – an heir to the Mellon banking family from Pittsburgh, who Forbes estimates to be worth about $14.5 billion – made what is believed to be one of the largest donations to a campaign in American history.

This Mellon is heir to the (in)famous banking empire. He also hates poor/black people:

In the closing chapters of his self-published 2015 autobiography, Mellon attacked the federal government’s “lavish spending” and the “Medicare fiscal black hole,” blaming the “liberal onslaught” of social safety net programs in the 1960s for what he called “slavery redux.” The book’s contents were first reported by the Washington Post in 2020.

“Black people, in spite of heroic efforts by the ‘Establishment’ to right the wrongs of the past, became even more belligerent and unwilling to pitch in to improve their own situations,” Mellon wrote. “The likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton pandered endlessly to fan the flames.”

Birds of a feather flock together. So it should be no surprise that any who advises Donald Trump is a dirt bag. Robert Morris is no different:

According to a report from the Daily Beast, the pastor of Texas megachurch who was appointed to Donald Trump’s “spiritual advisory” group in 2016, has admitted that he fondled a 12-year-old when he was 20 and was staying with her family in 1982.

That admission, made in a statement to the Christian Post, came after the woman, identified as Cindy Clemishire, spoke with The Wartburg Watch and accused Pastor Robert Morris, who is now a senior pastor at the Gateway Church in Dallas- Ft. Worth, of sexually assaulting her.
