The Government Just Admitted It Doesn’t Really Try to Collect Rich People’s Taxes

This tells you everything about who controls the U.S. government. And it ain’t you or I:

The new Internal Revenue Service figures compiled by Syracuse University researchers show that in the last eight years, there has been a 72 percent drop in the number of audits of those making more than $1 million. In all, 98 percent of those making more than $1 million did not face an audit last year

There has also been a 55 percent drop in the number of audits of America’s largest corporations. In 2012, almost all corporate giants were audited. In 2020, however, almost two thirds of those corporations were not subjected to audits.

Biden administration, like Trump, tries to dismiss lawsuit against ICE over fake university scheme

The Biden administration wants to show they are just as evil as the previous. This is a good step in that direction:

The U.S. government set up a fake university as a sting operation ostensibly to catch foreigners using school admission for visas. Now, those caught up by it are seeking their time in court — and say they have found the new presidential administration no friendlier to their fight.

The Biden administration followed in the Trump administration’s footsteps in February requesting a class-action lawsuit over the fake University of Farmington be dismissed from Federal Claims Court.

The lawsuit was filed on Sept. 21, 2020 against the United States by would-be students who claim they lost millions in tuition when the university never provided any classes. No money was ever returned to the students.

Almost 600 foreign-born people enrolled at the University of Farmington, hoping to take classes and graduate with a master’s degree, according to the lawsuit, not knowing it was a sting operation run by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations team.

The university was created “to ferret out illegal conduct and ‘expose student visa fraud,'” according to the Biden administration’s Feb. 24 reply in support of the motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

On Nov. 29, 2019, then-Sen. Kamala Harris tweeted that the scheme behind the fraudulent school was not “just cruel, it’s a waste of taxpayer dollars.”

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Days are Numbered

<p class="has-normal-font-size" value="<amp-fit-text layout="fixed-height" min-font-size="6" max-font-size="72" height="80">

But you still have diehard Democratic activists who don’t get it. Even some so-called feminists:

Cuomo is a apparently a real jerk. So there is very little support for him among those who know him best. That makes his removal from office all the easier:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo Aides Called Former Staffers to Discredit Accuser

Another crime:

In the days after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was first accused of sexual harassment by a former aide, the governor’s office called at least six former employees either to find out if they had heard from the accuser or to glean information about her in conversations that some said they saw as attempts to intimidate them.

Some of the people who received the calls said they hadn’t heard from the administration in months before getting the call about the accuser. One said a caller encouraged them to give reporters any information discrediting the accuser, Lindsey Boylan, who worked as an economic adviser for the Cuomo administration between 2015 and 2018.

The calls were made by current administration officials and former aides who are still close to the governor’s office, according to several recipients. The outreach came at the behest of Melissa DeRosa, the governor’s top aide, according to people familiar with the effort.

Trump Is Helping Russia Spread Lies About COVID Vaccines

Trump is still working for Moscow:

In possibly the least surprising news of 2021 so far, the Kremlin has been actively spreading disinformation about two of the vaccines being distributed in the U.S. in a bid to sow division and undermine confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

That’s according to the State Department, which said Sunday that it has been tracking Kremlin-backed websites that are pushing false narratives around the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in particular, baselessly claiming they are unsafe and cause serious side effects.

Russia’s efforts to spread anti-vaxxer disinformation in the U.S are being aided by the actions of former President Donald Trump, who has refused to endorse the vaccine to his tens of millions of supporters who are among those least likely to get the shot.

Democratic Party Shows how Really Worthless it Is

The failure to pass a minimum wage increase is only the latest example of a Democratic Party that fails to deliver on it’s promises. But we shouldn’t be surprised. They did it in 2009. But this time around people are starting to ask questions. Because it’s Democrats, not Republicans, that are getting in the way:

The World is Becoming Increasingly Less Free and Democratic

The world is becoming less free and democratic. And we can thank the U.S. in part. Certainly Trump contributed that demise. But the declining trend precedes the former fascism-in-chief. It’s a very ominous sign:

  • More bad news for democracy defenders: A new report confirms worldwide declines in freedom for the 15th year in a row, and the United States isn’t helping matters.
  • Overall, 73 of the 195 countries analyzed in the report received lower freedom scores in 2020 than the year prior. Only 28 nations saw improvements. (The 94 remaining countries didn’t have any significant changes.) This difference in the number of countries that improve versus worsen — the so-called “democracy gap” — has been growing over the last 15 years and saw its widest rift last year.
  • The 2020 report labeled 82 countries as “free,” which is the fewest since 2005 and they account for less than 20 percent of the world’s population. Meanwhile, the number of countries considered “not free” reached an all-time high of 54. And 59 countries were considered “partly free.”

The GOP is rapidly becoming the blue-collar party.

I thought Democrats were supposed to be the party of workers? This is only proves that in fact there is no difference between the two parties. Republicans do nothing but try to screw-over the working class. Gonna have a hard trying to explain this one:

Data from the NBC News poll shows that the composition of the two major parties is changing, and one massive shift is coming in employment: the kinds of jobs Democrats and Republicans hold. There are signs across racial and ethnic demographic groups that Republicans are becoming the party of blue-collar Americans and the change is happening quickly.

In the last decade, the percentage of blue-collar voters who call themselves Republicans has grown by 12 points. At the same time, the number in that group identifying as Democrats has declined by 8 points. Among white-collar voters, the numbers have remained stable, with Democrats seeing a tiny increase and Republicans seeing a tiny drop.

Texas Freeze Blackout Proves Fossil Fuels are Outdated

The Governor of Texas and the rightwing are doing damage control. Texas is the capitol of fossil fuels in America. But all that oil is not serving the people of Texas. So what do you if you can’t explain it away. You blame someone else. Blame it on the left and on the non-existing Green New Deal:

Democrats didn’t call witnesses because ‘people want to get home for Valentine‘s Day’: report

Democrats show their true colors: half-hearted opportunists who have no convictions. Once again they’ve allowed themselves to be played by Trump and the Republicans. The first impeachment was a fiasco that only emboldened Trump to commit more crimes. The second will do the same for the GOP. They don’t fear Democrats. And we can’t trust them to fight for us:

More information is coming out about the decision by House impeachment managers to refrain from calling witnesses during Donald Trump’s Senate trial.

On Saturday, the Senate voted 55-45 to allow witnesses, but none were called.

“During the Senate break after the witness vote Saturday, Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) twice came into the managers’ room off the Senate floor, according to multiple Democratic sources. Coons pressed House Democrats to relent, saying their quest for witnesses would cost them Republican votes to convict and maybe even some Democrats,” Politico reports.

“The jury is ready to vote,” Coons told the House managers, according to a senior House Democratic aide. “People want to get home for Valentine’s Day.”
